Funny....when my buddy bought his new Dren two months ago...he didn't get an extra set of grips with it. I don't suppose that Mathews will send him one for his Dren and me one for my LX do you?
Swamp, they come with the new bows standard. You can tell the competition grip from the old grips because that have the center line in them and the heel is much smaller. IMHO, they are not that big of an improvement, which is why I put a torqueless grip on my bow.

Dan,

I'm really curious what didn't you like about the switchback?

I think it is very comparable to the Drenalin.

Tom
All set up it just seemed heavy to me. This is also the reason I disliked the Vectrix and Vulcan this year.

One of the guys I works with owns a Vulcan and brings it in quite often to shoot during lunch. The bow is a dream to shoot; very quiet, no recoil, very little vibration. I just can't imagine hiking any distance with it.

The Drenalin definitely fits the bill as far as weight goes.

Strings and grips are the two easiest things to deal with. I went with a Torque Less grip and Winners Choice string on my Switchy...very sweet. I completely agree that there are many great bows from many different manufacturers out there. Cutting down someone else's choice makes no sense to me. I have my eye on trying out a Guardian, Cardiac, Drenalinand Alpine Silverado next year. BTW: who out there has extensively shot the Alpine next to others for a comparison run-down?
