Default Buckmasters

this is abit off topic but I was hoping maybe someone here could help me. I paid for a membership to Buckmasters almost a month ago on the phone....I was givin the option of making payments or if I paid in full by credit card my first issue of the magazine and 2 knives would ship out immediately. Well I still have not recieved anything from them and I wanna know where it is dang nabbit.

Anyone have a phone number to contact them? I cruised around their website and could only find email contacts :-(

Their customer service number is 800-240-3337. This came from a 2001 magazine. I think you may need to give them more time, but it won't hurt to call. I have several knives from them and was surprised by the quality of them. They kept a nice edge and are easy to resharpen.

thx greg !

Im not the type to give them more time. The man told me on the phone if I paid in full by credit card that my stuff would ship out the next day. My credit card was already billed almost 4 weeks ago and I still dont have the stuff. They should not be billing peoples CC's until the stuff ships. Or at the very least if they told me up front that it would take over a month I have the choice of accepting that or not.....which I wouldnt have.

thx again !

ok heres a quick update for any future Buckmasters members and especially any Buckmasters staff that may read here

knobby called to inquire about his membership

was told it normally takes 6 weeks..but thats not how it was explained to me the day I joined. I was told if I paid in full my order would be processed the next business day.

customer service rep went on to explain that I joined
on Nov 27....and they were currently still processing orders from Nov 19.

she went on further and told me mine probly would not arrive for another 4 weeks...Ifigured with Xmas and New years involved it would probly be even more than that.

So basically they charged my credit card for the full amount... $116.95 for a 5 year membership... and I cannot expect my stuff to arrive until 8 weeks later. I feel that is ridiculous and them having my money and taking 2 months to get me my stuff is just plain not acceptable to me.

They really need to NOT charge peoples CC's unless they have the stuff there ready to be packaged and shipped. Next thing you know they will be charging $300 for a membership with a $150 mail-in-rebate

knobby canceled membership

Buckmasters is one hunting organization that will NEVER get another penny of my money. The idiot who runs it--Jackie Bushman--is little more than a low-life thief who couldn't care less about the hunters who make him richer every day. The only thing I ever bought from them was a $45.00 video that promised 2 hours of adventure. There was NO hunting whatsoever--it was a 2 hour commercial that put everyone to sleep. I paid to mail it back and they refused to refund this "satidfaction guaranteed" video. I later met him at a hunting show and he wouldn't even acknowledge me when I asked him about it. He was a real a--hole!

thats the reason I don't join any of those TV ad's. if they call me I just lay the phone down and go about my chores.if I want it I will call them.
I have found that most of those memberships you get over the phone are not what they tell you they are.

take a look at the new "other" buckmasters magazine. RACK MAGAZINE. The cover story is about a man who took a 70 yard shot at a monster buck with a BOW! let me quote a few lines..
"with david, who'd been practicing extremely long shots on a whim, it was not far enough. With his 40 yard pin about 4 feet above the animals back, David hesitated only a second or two before releasing. How could he not shoot a buck that had become an obsession? He admits, however, that a great deal of luck was involved. For instance, while he might have known where to hold for a 70 yard shot, he had not counted on the deer being able to turn 90 degrees before the arrow struck. In other words, although the buck was standing completely still and broadside when David released, it had swung around by the time the arrow arrived- causing the arrow to sail into the ham-fortunatly severing the femoral artery.".

I'm not sure who is worse...Rack(Buckmasters) for publishing this article, or the hunter for taking a hail mary shot at a deer 70 yards away. <img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

I am very upset with them as well. They called me over the phone also, and since the guy was so nice, I just talked to him a while. We just talked about hunting. I told I WOULDN'T subscribe over the phone, but would take more information throught the mail. Then before I hung up I made sure he didn't subscribe me. Then the supervisor came on, and verified that I hadn't made a subscription. 2 weeks later I got a magazine, Cool, a free magazine. A week later, a reminder to pay my subscription. I blew it off. The next month, another magazine, Cool, another one. A week later, another bill. I blow that one off. Just this weekend I get a bill from a collection agency. I'm gonna call them soon, and tell them a good piece of my mind. If they don't like it, screw them. They ain't getting a penny out to me. Hopefuly that is all it will amount to.

Splitear.... that's exactly why I had a run in with them. I took a trial of the RACK magazine after having been a member SINCE the beginning of Buckmasters. I cancelled it as I didn't like it AND... it wasn't exactly as explained on the phone. Well, months later and after certified letters, cancelled subscriptions, and dropping my subscription to Buckmasters also because of the nasty letters and replies I thought I had it over with. I sent certified letters asking to be removed from all records and placed in their DO NO CALL file. So out of the blue I've started getting calls and free magazines... I don't even talk to them and I'm still getting stuff. I'm sure the bill will come next. IDIOTS.

oh man they better not even try that on me....they already ticked me off. If they send me the stuff now anyway and try to force me to pay anything for it Im liable to really go off on em. My credit card company has already been notified of the situation and is ready to act against Buckmasters if they dont remedy the situation by the time my next CC bill arrives.

I am actually still in shock that they feel its ok to take peoples money and then take 6 weeks + to send out the merchandise. I really dont care who ya are DONT CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD until you are ready to ship out the order !!! The customer service rep I spoke with was actually quite rude when I told her to cancel my subscription. I gave her two choices....expedite my order asap or cancel me. She chose to cancel me....nice way to do business haha. Heck I am kinda surprised they have many members at all doing business like that.

oh well...your loss Buckmasters not mine
