For those asking:

My standards are P&Y. I wont shoot it unless I know it makes P&Y. I might show exception for a young deer w/ lots of potential...

Also, I agree, this deer is probably wider on his left side, the pic is decieving... I'll post updates as soon as I get em.

According to pics from the winter I should have 4-5 nice 3.5 yr olds, and 2-3 4.5 yr olds this year, with maybe 1 5.5 yr old. So this deer could be one of the 3.5 yr olds. Not enough character shown yet to compare to last yrs pics!

I can hardly stand waiting, the weather was great bowhunting weather yesterday... I was watchin deer in the yard as I posted those pics.

And the two of them, together.....to show the difference in body mass...

As to first pic, his legs and shoulders look awfully spindly for a 3.5 year old.
Just judging by his body, I would have thought that deer was only 2.5 years old.

But maybe its b/c our deer tend to have big bodies and not so great racks.

Ed, looking good. Hopefully you'll get a chance in the fall to decide whether or not you want to take him. He looks like he might be hard to pass up.

Good luck.

A 'shooter' is in the eye of the beholder, and under the scrutiny of the law. If it suits your personal standards, and is legal--it's a 'shooter'.
