Thanks. I suppose it would be a good idea to get 2or3 refills at the same I get the unit.

It comes with 2 butane cartridges and several mats, I'm not sure how many. Refills are easy to find at wally world or sporting goods stores.

It comes with one cartridge and 3 mats, but might as well get refill.
Like anything it is more economical the more you get.
1/3 refill is $6 and 4/12 refill is $20.

I have had one for two seasons. I bought it at the beginning of the 2005 bow season when the mosquitos nearly carried me off. Now, they stay in a holding pattern about nine feet from me. I will continue to use it.

I hunt in South Arkansas about five miles from the La border, with a large swamp beside my lease. If Thermacell works there, it should work anywhere.

I hunt in sc and there are mosquitos the size of a nickel. This thing works! In my box stand you see them just buzzing around about 10-15 feet away! I would never go hunting without it.

I don't know how I ever went spring turkey or early bow season hunting without one. They are a must have. I think I'm due for a new one, this spring it took a few too many clicks to get it started, guess dropping from trees isn't something they were designed for, but it still works...
