Summit Climber questions - "Accessories"
#1
Who has experience with the following:
1) How long are the cables supposed to last (i.e. how often are we supposed to exchange them)?
2) Who has used the accessory bags that attach to the arms? Do they get in the way when you're trying to pack the stand? Do they get in the way when you're hunting?
Thanks.

I think the cables will last a long time; the outer rubber began coming off after 3 or 4 climbs. No big deal.
Don't have experience with the accessory bags. I usually hang my backpack on a hook.

Why don't you just build a nice tree-house in that tree. You could attach a winch and have a butcher table up there and a bunch of zip lock freezer bags. Then Whack'em winch'em and cinch'em.
You could stay right up there through the season. This would save you getting up early or drudging out in the dark! A nice air mattress will suffice when the lovely lady wants to visit for some relations. And, what the heck, you'll have the camcorder out there with ya too so might make for some nice utube footage.
