Don't let this happen in your state
Anybody wants to know why we have very big few deer in Northen LP and UP anymore here is why.
2006 Harvest Data
Southern LP B 52% D 48%
Northern LP B 66% D 33%
UP B 70 D 30%
Just think we are getting better
EDIT:
Forgot we count Buttons as does, so numbers are a little off. About 18 to 20% of the antler harvest are BB.

Do you mean the band
We are having a good discussion on the MI forum on baiting. All the old timers in that area claim as soon as baiting became legal the big bucks started to vanish.

Yea it's a shame what has happened to that state. I was just in the UP ripping up the atv trails. It's beautiful, with lots of big woods, there should be deer like crazy. But in 3 days, I saw one 
. Did have a nice black bear right in front of me on the trail, that was cool.
Is there anything in the works todo something about it!?

if you're concerned about big antlers and nothing else, thats a different story obviously, but don't your state have some of the top B&C and P&Y records ? aren't those books littered with trophies from your state ?
come down south, where a 120" buck is a dandy, maybe you'll appreciate what you got a bit more

Just a heck of a lot less bugsIt was not like it was now 40 years ago we did have some nice bucks in the UP. In fact all the guys from Ill, Iowa and Ohio use to come tothe UP and hunt
