Myinsulated Gear, and boots. Since I have 2 older brothers, when I first started hunting, nearly all I used was hand-me-downs. But now that I have quality gear to stay warm and comfortable, it is not only more enjoyable (because of comfort)to hunt, but i'm able to hunt longer to increase my odds.

My Bushnell laser range finder. I have not even had to change the battery and it is7 years old. It is a biggin' by today's standards, but it works great and I just can't justify getting a new one.

My 8x42 Nikon Monarchs. They save me so much footwork, and I am constantly scanning with them when walking or when on stand. I can't even count the number of deer I have picked up while glassing with them that I would have never seen otherwise just last year alone. I beat the hell out of these binocs and only make an effort to keep the lenses clean once a month or so and they still don't have any scratches, and perform flawlessly. They pick up enough light that I can use them to see things when it isn't bright enough to see with just the naked eye.I can't imagine hunting now without a good pair of binocs.

Honestly, there are a couple of things I wouldn't go without;

1) Cell phone...if you have ever gotten stuck, or lost a Universal Joint like I did last year....it can save your bacon.

2) Thermacell...I'd sooner forget my arrows then that baby.

3) Handsaw and Brush Pruners. Ever try to cut a limb with a pocket knife?

4) Safety harness...never needed it praise God, but someday I might and it will be on me and serviceable if I ever do need it.

My broadheads
Thunderhead 125s. Yea I may be old school, but there is no doubt in my mind that they will do thier job as long as I do. (and sometimes even when I don't perform precisely)
