My first chioice would have to be my hunting knife. It was handed down to me by my fatherwhen I shot my first buck at the age of 18. I'm now going to be 42 this year, and many deer later, it stilllooks like the day he gave it to me. My plan is to hand it down to my son when he shoots his first buck.
My archery item choice would have to be my Scott Mongoose release!

Boots. A close second is Jim Fletcher Fletchunter release. 15 yrs now. Same release. Never failed.

I will second the boots, nothing worse than cold or wet feet. also have to throw in my thermacell, I will never hunt early season archery without it

Even though I didn't think about it until someone mentioned it, I'd have to agree with boots. You can't do much without them, you never notice when they're working well, but you sure do realize it when they aren't.
