Default Muzzy MX-4

Im thinking about shooting this broadhead this year. Anybody shot game with them? They are almost identical to Slick Tricks and have read a ton of good reviews on them but I never really hear about the MX-4's.

Thanks

I shot the MX-4's last year; I'll be shooting the MX-3's this year, if that tells ya anything.

Not knocking the MX-4, but for me they certainly don't fly like the Slick Tricks. ST's offer accuracy second to none out of my set-up. Good luck.

I shot both MX-4's and Slick Tricks last summer. I decided to hunt with Slick Tricks for a couple of reasons:

1. They flew better for me.

2. The seemed more durable (one piece steel ferrule instead of two piece aluminum and thicker blades).

The MX-4's were a nice broadhead though. I'd use them if I didn't use slick tricks.

Ialso shot my first deer with them last year, but i cant decide whether or not i like the 4 blades over 3, so i might switch to the MX-3's. But they did do a good job.

took 6 deer with them last year, from 10 to 30 yards. all pass thrus, all deer down within 50 yardss. they fly like darts out of my XT... can't say a bad thing about em.

as a plus, you can get em cheap- $20.00 for a 6pack when the sales are on....

Diehard..I shot them last year..and they knocked my socks off! These were the best "out of the box" broadheads I've ever shot. Accurate, flew straight and sliced through my deer without a thud thwack or smack! Great blood trail, that I let my inexpirienced 13 year old trackfor the entire 20 yardsto thepiled up deer at the end of it!

I tried them last year and could not get them to group very well!! I put my regular Muzzy 100's or even my old Thunderhead 100's and it shot fine. I gave mine away.

Ditto that...... I was practice shooting them last year with my ST and when one ofarrow with theMX4 on it went through the foam target and hit the ground. I though nothing had happen to it but to my surprise the chisel tip broke. I just thought that it might just be that one but decided to shoot another one to the ground on purpose to see if the same thing will happen. Well, let's just say, they don't hold up as well as ST.
