That's a good Shop owner, glad to hear it! You'd NEVER find that kind of service around here!

Appalachian Archery in MD is the same way. The guy has spent hours working with me or leaving me alone when I wanted to just shoot. I didn't like the length of my D loop and he replaced it for free. My Bowtech had some issues and it was replaced with a new one. He putmy rest, peep and D loop on it without charging me forset-up. Even after I offered to pay. I was shocked at the effort that he put in to helping me out.
That's why I'm willing to pay a little more for things when I stop in there. If I were charged for all of the help it would have cost me hundreds of dollars. The lease I can do is buy something off of him once in a while to show my appreciation.
I think that's the part that we sometimes forget when looking for the lowest deal at Bass Pro or on ebay. I'm not saying I buy everything off of Derek. But I stop in when I'm traveling back and forth to PA and always try to buy something to show my appreciation for what he's done for me.

This thread burns my buscuits! I was talked into buying a sight at my local bow shop. Hated it and they said that maybe I should have thought more about my purchase. No offer to help no nothing.

I'd find another shop then. Even if you have to drive an hour or more. A shop should never talk you into buying anything. They should have even put the sight on and let you shoot it first to decide.

Glad 2 hear u had a great experience. I think that each shop experience is dependent on the owner. I went 2 a guy a few yrs ago, when all I could afford was a "box-store" bow. He gave me grief over buyn' that bow. My reply was if he could sell me the exact same type of bow fully loaded for $100, I'd buy it from him. At that time that's all I could afford. Now I went to a shop in Machesney Park, Ill & bought a Bowtech. Can't say enough about the shop/owner & product. I recommend him 2all my friends. In fact I'm going there this Sat for new cams. It would be nice if every shop owner was as concerned about customer service as yours was. As for the first guy, he gets business turned away from anyone I know.

As stated before, you are lucky to have a shop with that kind of service.

I have to agree withthis. As I've said before, I only have two choices. I already know that if anything goes wrong with my Drenalin, MY shop owner will send it in to Mathews and I'll be missing a bow for as long as it takes. I wish I had a shop like yours to go to.
