I can't imagine starting the hunting season with pessimism. I fully intend to shoot a wallhanger in all three of the states I am hunting in this year. When I am on stand, I always think a mature buck is heading my way-the entire time. If I thought negatively, I couldn't sit still in the stand or even get out of bed. The power of positive thinking is a very powerful thing. Good luck to all!

Best statement right here.... Respect!

This year I should have more time to hunt since I've finished my master's degree. I thought I would have a ton of time with my new job, but my boss just got fired so things could change there real fast. Betweenhaving some more time and hunting two states again, one with multiple buck tags available I should be able to get at least one buck this year.

there is no doubt in my mind I will score on a nice buck this year ... it's my 3rd year hunting a particular piece of land, and I have learned much about it ...... I can't wait!

I believe this year will be a great year. I have 2 new areas to hunt as well as my usual haunts.
There were no mature bucks killed in my lease where I spend most of my time so I know they are there and survived. I found a rub on a tree the size of my thigh the last day of muzzleloader.....He's out there.

My odds are most likely pretty good. I keep upping my standards which makes it tough to consistently produce at that level.

I agree with GregH.

No way am I not going to kill a wallhanger this year.

I usually try to keep that feeling with me right up until the moment I begin climibing down the tree.

So BuckRogers,

If I bet $1 and you don't kill a buck you will pay me $234,929,043.00?

What's your collateral and where do I sign up

Hey now, you can't garantee a win for our team next year and then come up with this! What are you doing

We are going to be the 1 out of 576K to score 10 out of 10 next year
Don't worry Wheatley, the guarentee is still in place. Heck, I've got the best team in the world. How can we possibly lose? Plus I am going to enter my caribou's score for the contest anyway
