just need to make sure you are using a cut on contact broadhead - I do think I would trust a mechanical on a Griz but 60lbs will do the trick key is arrow placement and penetration

Would you use an 80 pound bow for griz? Most folks who have the stones to go bear hunting with a bowwouldn't hesitate.
Well, my2003 model 60 pound bow shoots the same arrow I used on my'89 model 80 pound bow at the same exact speed. Identical performance with 20 poundsless draw weight? That should tell you something, right there.
Fred Bear hunted everything in North America with a 65 lb recurve. That should tell you something else. I'm sure your 60 lb compound gives a lothigher performance thanhis 65 lb recurve. Of course, he DID use cut on contact broadheads.
