What do you take in your pack?
#22
I try to avoid a pack if I can. Spent a little too much time lugging a pack around when I was young and full of volunteer spirit. I pare it down to a neck knife and a fanny pack if I can get away with it.
Neck Knife:
knife(duh)
magnesium fire starter
small compass
extra lanyards
whistle
duct tape(wrapped around the handle)
Fanny Pack:
good compass
snake bite kit
folding knife
GPS
scent wicks and pee
lighter
small sewing kit
rope
small medi-kit
canteen
extra ammo
rocket launcher
claymores
white phosphorus grenades
Just kidding about the last 3.

I carry much of what is listed previously, just depends on what I'm hunting and where. But being kind of a boy scout, I usually find I have what I need when needed (hence the signature). I know some of my hunting buddies give me crap when they see my pack contents, but end up eating thier words when I pull what they need out of my pack.
If there are two items I try totake all the time, it would be a knife and some water (or something to purify water).
