Default What is your arrow speed???

I've seen a lot of threads/debates/arguments on faster vs. slower, ke vs. momentum, heavier vs. lighter, etc. I don't get involved in those because I simply don't know. I'm still trying to decide what final setup I want to hunt with. All I'm curious about here is how fast your hunting arrows fly and what the average will be.

Of course it is.
I know that slower speeds can kill just as effectively. I'm just curious.

Our chrono at work is on the fritz, so I wasn't able to get a real consistant reading when I had my bow in, but I was getting anywhere from 269 - 278fps.

Currently just over 280. I just upped my poundage so my speed increased as well. With my previous speeds (274 fps) I had complete pass throughs on everything from white tail to elk at distances up to 45 yards. So why did I increase my poundage? Just because I could I guess.

I don't know right now to be honest. I did know, but I forgot. I bet if I looked on here somewhere I have said.

If I had to guess, right know it is around 220 fps. I am pretty sure it isn't over that.

I guess I'm a little slower than most, I shot a whopping 175-180 ft/ sec from my long bow. but I was taught on a diffrent site to shot your bow through aDEER and screw the chronograph
