I honestly have passed up more than a dozen P&Y bucks in a season and I do feel that I can get a shot at a 150" buck every season. That was not the case 5 years ago but it is today and was a couple of years ago when I wrote the book.
Out of context .... again

You're quoting yourself out of context??

Yes, I was talking in the past he has not had that success Atlas. Over his entire career.
That's not what you said...........you said I "made it up" and demanded to know what page it was on.......like he never said it.

Keep firing away
You said it..........now own it. You were wrong. Deal with it.

No wonder I liked your book

He likes leaving things out of quotes[8D]

germ.............who cares when it was?...........the only thing ever said was it's laughable to present such a scenerio as the "real world" and something the "average" hunter can relate to.

No Atlas I knew he said, just not in the context you are trying to twist it.

Here

Saying

I pass up 13 P & Y bucks every year, because I can shoot a 150 P & Yis one thing.

I pass up 13 P & Y bucks as of 5 years ago, because I now believe I can shoot 150 P & Y is another.

However, posts that are directly bashing a product or manufacturer are not allowed on HuntingNet.com.
So any thread with a negative comment would be removed and then the whole point of reviewing products here would be rendered as useless as the yearly magazine reviews of products...........you better hurry up and go tell everyone in the gear review forum to stop posting unless they are fanboys.

It was not so much about bashing a product, but saying something is "terrible on many levels" is a pretty stiff statement.

It's sorta like "I bought this book wanting to learn something, and now I think it's terrible because it didn't teach me a thing". (My quote) Well, hello. Just because I went to an accredited High School and didn't learn as much about Algebra as I did in college, does not make the High School "terrible on many levels". If you already knew all this that's in Don's book then why don't you just say so and move on?

Some people matureas hunters. They want the challenge you talk about. So they up the stakes every year.

I believe you are on the verge of doing so. Your past post about getting to your stands, reading Eberharts books are all clues you are going to take the next step.

Do you have go to the lengths of Don? Hell no, I won't either. I am not going to move or quit my job nor did he tell people to. He told them what he did, and whatsome might have to do to shoot mature bucks. We all have to make this choice for ourselves.

I put enough time in to get an opportunity at 1 good buck a year. Todd(The Lone Wolf) talks about working for that 1 opportunity. It may be on P & Y for some or 150 above for others. For some like my cousin in Northen MI it is 100'' deer. If your happy with what your doing great. If you want to improve Don showed us what he did.

The "real world" is very true for many tactics he listed. I won't list them for those who want to read the book.

This is hilarious!!! Is this guy for real????? Do you regulars see this from him on every topic? When this guy croaks they should use his skull to make drill bits, it has to be harder than titanium! This has literally turned into a comedy show!!
