What would you use? These are my three choices.
Diamond Victory 65#
Alpine Impact X-treme 42#
Darton Super-Flite Hunter recurve 49#
I will be hunting out of a pop-up. I can use any of the three although the recurve is a bit cramped in the blind. The Alpine is my old bow. My wife shoots it now,( on occasion). I had the limbs changed to 40-50# for her. The DL is very adjustable and I can have it set up and dialed in for me in no time.
I like the idea ofthe lighter draw weight of the Alpine for turkeys although the Diamond feels like an extention of me. I'm VERY comfortable with it. I value ya'lls opinions, (well, mostly
). What do you think?

On the surface, tx.....I'd say go with the one you can hold at full draw the longest.
In reality, though......I'd go with the one you had the most confidence in. I think you know which one you want to take!
Good luck!

Yup, I was thinking I'm certainly most confident with the Diamond and I considered that I can hold the Alpine at full draw for what seems like hours. Also the lower draw weight on the Alpine may help keep the arrow in the bird. This may well be a last minute decision.

If the Alpine is easy toadjust like you said, set it up for yourself. Shoot it, and see how you like it, and if you would feel comfortable hunting w/ it. If not, shoot the Diamond w/ a big expandable to keep it in the bird. Good luck, and score one for team 3!

i would go with the bow im most confident in, know the best, and shoot the best. 65# may be overkill.....but big deal....if you put that arrow where it needs to be put thats a dead turkey that aint goin far if anywhere at all. my decision would come down to just that...accuracy...your target is about the size of a baseball or so....and doesnt like to sit still for long

The one you can consistantly with is the one to use.Turkeys are a very small target. The kill zone even smaller!!! I cannot express the importance of praticing on a 3d taget. I was all goofed up on my recent hunt to Kansas. I shot a 3d turkey before I left but only occasionally.
Look at a lot of pictures of real birds to determine where to hold. I was aiming low, contributing to my misses on the first birds I shot at. Along with my nerves and excitement...
