Default Guys who've taken turkeys with your bows

I saw where we had a good number of guys who've taken turkeys with their bows.

Question:

How many of you were turkey hunting.....and how many were deer hunting whenyou shot yours?

I was spring gobbler hunting, 3 or 4 years ago.......It was pretty cool, I managed that trick w/out the use of a blind......Very, very cool.

GMMAT I'm not trying to thread jack but I was wondering for those of you who have killed turkeys with a bow did you use a broad-head to the vitals or a gilotine or however you spell it?
Thanks guys!

I went this spring. Forgot my ground blind and sat next to a tree. Nice gobbler came in, made a good shot and he ran off w/ his buddy. I looked for about 2 hrs in the mosquito infested woods and never found him. So I technically shot one, just couldnt recover it. Next year Im lowering my bow poundage and shooting duller broadheads. I want the arrow to stay in em, not blow through like it did.

Well ya know I took two with my bow in KS this past spring..

Now as far as fall turkey hunting with a bow, yes I've done it several fall in a row with no birds down, I did send a couple arrows just errant. In fact, the 2005 contest buck was shot from my blind while I was turkey hunting, just the opposite of what you were thinking, rather than deer hunting shooting turkeys I was turkey hunting and shot my buck...LOL

As big og a cuting diameter as possible. I use Scorpions or something. Bought them on sale 5 years ago. 4 blade a HUGE cut. I have never used a blind either.

Monster mechanical. Rocket Hammerheads are a good choice.
