Default Light Side?

I know I'm getting ahead of myself with my new bow, but I've just been planning on using a 125 gr muzzy when elk season got here. After reading the "Cut On Contact" post and all the larger grains people are using, I was wondering,is 125 grain on the light side for elk? What grain do you guys shoot for Elk?

no its not.Broadhead doesnt make the majority of the arrow weight as you probably know. You would be better off just going with a heavier arrow to get the weight for better Kenetic Energy. After chosing your arrow, then thats where the broadhead weight comes into play. The different broadhead weights are going to help get a better FOC. Depending on your KE, if its low, then you should go with a good cut on contact to get the penetration you need for elk.
