Default Making a Scent-Lok locker...

I recently came across a chest freezer that I want to make into a clothes and gear locker for my hunting clothes.

Has anybody out here done this?

Good Hunting,

i always use great big plastic bins with a sealable top(removable)(people like to use them for taking clothes to the laundry mat....they got them at dollar general sometimes...if not target will. one is big enuff for everythig almost.

plus you can throw it in the truck with you and get dressed in the field.

Ditto there alpha.

I have one of those scent proof bags that I use when I travel, and I have a large cedar wardrobe at the house that works well. But in general, I use a large Rubbermade bin. I'll put some dirt and pine branches inside it as well. Don't know how much it helps/hurts, but it makes them smell nice, at least to a hunter....

i got some of the bags for free that you mention and the Ziplock came unglued from the bag....so if i use it i have too roll it up like a bag o chips and put a clothes pin on it .

I always thought these would make a great way to store clothing scent free (or impregnated with whatever scent you wanted) but I have never tried them. The vacuum seal would always let you know they were airtight.........and if you wanted to leave a scent in the bag like earth wafers or some local foliage I'm sure that wouldn't hurt.

I like that idea Atlas,I have the bins and they take up alot of room, whereas the vaccume sealed bags like that would work great for storing my clothes in the offseason.

Another 10-4 Alpha.

I'm looking for a new one but can't find one that seals up nicely on top like I'd like. Still hunting for one though. wal-mart/dollar general.

Just a hint...buy a clear one so you can see what's inside. That way, you can have more than one depending on how many clothes you have and what style, ie: insulated vs. uninsulated/ scent-lok vs non scent-lok/bowhunting vs. gun hunting blaze orange.

Just a suggestion
