What is your reason for bowhunting?

RE: What is your reason for bowhunting?
i love being in the woods and the enjoyment of the wildlife, but i ain't gonna lie - i am there for the thrill and the trophy.
if i was sure i wasn't going to ever see a deer in range, i wouldn't be putting the time and effort into it.

I enjoy the thrill and rush of having a 6-point bull bugle from 20 feet away! That's why I bowhunt, and if I never kill another elk with a rifle, then I will have lived a fulfilling life by my standards.

Germ sent me this a while back......and this is probably the best explanation I could give to anyone as to why I do what i do.......
"The kill is the satisfying, indeed essential, conclusion to a successful hunt. But, I take no pleasure in the act itself. One does not hunt in order to kill, but kills in order to have hunted. Then why do I hunt? I hunt for the same reason my well-fed cat hunts...because I must, because it is in the blood, because I am the descendent of a thousand generations of hunters. I hunt because I am a hunter." - Finn Aagard
