I use this one http://www.cabelas.com/spodw-1/0032809.shtml I did use the bucket type with the swivel lid but the lid never fit right, was noisy, and hard to carry in the field. This one also has a swivel cushioned seat, adjustable height legs for uneven ground, and a strap for carrying.

Most comfortable ones we have are ones we built ourselves. All parts are from Wal Mart. I'll see if I can find a pic and post it up.

Here's a couple of liks that will explain it all.

The most important thing about your blind chair isn't how comfortable it is......but that it is the proper height. Unless you try it out.....you're going to put yourself in a potentially REALLY uncomfortable shooting position by choosing a chair that is not the proper height.

Take a few minutes and try a few.

I would tend to agree with you, Jeff. Most of the chairs I found to be too short. I didn't really care for the Bull Stool's price but the portability and, more important, the height adjustment sold me on it and after using it, it's just what I had been looking for.

I usually don't use a seat in a blind because I usually forget one...haha. When I do I use one of those three-legged stools you can buy at cabelas. They are light and seem to be very quick and easy.

Ameristep chairs, made by a blind company. Some of the that chairs that come from walmart are comfortable but can be noisy when I try to get into position. That's why I changed to using Ameristep chairs

I use a regular turkey seat. Then I can go to my knees quickly to take the shot if a turkey comes close.... keeps me lower in blind and no noise that I can think of.

I got one at Gander a while back that is all right for $15. There is no back to it but it does adjust in height and rotates 360 degrees which is nice.

I use pretty much the same chair as Washington Hunter, except I prefer arms on the chairs. I use the Ameristep Doghouse and it fits 2 chairs nicely.

And this is going to explain why my husband calls me a candy a**.

I use an office chair without arms in my ground blinds. It adjusts up and down, it swivels, and the wheels allow me to move from one window to another for more shot opportunities (I put carpet down in my blind to keep my hunting stuff off of the dirt). I oil them so I don't have to worry about squeeking. It works great! There is a used office furniture store about 30 minutes from my house so I can get a nice chair for under $50.00. My Dad has even bought some with arms (I don't have arms on mine in the blinds b/c I bow hunt out of them and the arms get in the way) for his hunting condos (carpet on the floor and walls, windows, heaters inside -- sweet set-up!!). I tried the fold up chairs, buckets, stools, etc. Nothing else worked for me. I either couldn't move around in the blind or had trouble with them being too short for me and -- if it was fine for me it was too tall for hubby if he choose to hunt my blind (I am only 5'2" but he is about 6'2"). This was we don't have to have different chairs no matter who wants to use the blind. Plus it is comfortable so I will stay out there longer.
