Check out the PSE team Fitzgerald. It sells for around $200.00 and comes with a sight, arrow rest and quiver. Then all you need is a peep sight and arrows. Good starting bow.

I am also new to this, but I just bought a PSE Beast for $235.00 and the shop also threw in 6 Easton carbon Excel arrows, peep sights, silencers, release loop, sights, and arrow rest. I may have just gotten lucky though, I have never even seen an ad for the Beast. Oh well so far I really like it.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

mraynor1 you probably bought a package and they did not tell ya. All of that stuff is what they make there money on. the beast is a good bow.
Hunter501 the fitzgerald is a good starter also there are a couple of nova's. PSE makes a few good low priced bows. but, since there is not a whole lot of the season left i would save up a little and get a higher quality bow like a HOYTE since you have already bow hunted before and have decided that it is your thing.

I would suggest you go to several good proshops in and around your area. They can fit you for draw length and wieght, and see that you get the right amount of instruction to get you started. You may pay more money for the bow and all the other goodies, but the quality help you get from a good proshop is priceless! You should be able to get started with a pretty good outfit, for around 350 dollers. That includes your bow, arrows, rest, sight, release, peep sight, quiver and a few of the little things. You may even be able to get by with a good used bow and save some more money. The bottom line is if you don't start out with good equipment, and instruction, you won't shoot well and will give up quickly. I would also suggest reading most of the threads here on the bowhunting and technical boards, you can get a pretty good idea of what's good and what's not by just reading everyting that goes on here.

The number one thing is to find a bow that fits your hand well. You'll be spending alot of time with it. If your not comfortable then you won't practice as much. PSE does have alot of complete kits to buy at a reasonable price.
Good luck,
See you at the bloody arrow...
