Could have three times this year, but passed. Set my nephew up this year and he shot a button buck during the youth season.

i have shot a couple outta my doghouse blind.

kinda weird if you're used to shooting them from 25' up a tree.

good if you dont have a large enough tree around.

Both deer I've shot this year with my bow have been sitting under trees on the edge of a wheat field. Never had enough time to set a blind up this season but I guess it really didn't matter.

last year i hunted on the ground every day. i get busted for moving a couple of times. i think i was grunting and sat my call on the ground. but in the last season i had a bunch of does see me. i think they sky lighted my.i think it will be cool to hunt out of a double bull but the main problem is time to set up and bringing it in the woods with my pack on

Set up time on a double bull shoudn't be much of a problem since they are a 7 second setup blind. Just go onto their website and check it out.

I've only killed 32 deer with a bow but all of them have been from the ground. I don't like heights and have never hunted from a tree stand. If possible, I prefer to make a semi permanent ground blind that remains in the hunting area all year long. I do have a portable, the Penthouse, by Ameristep, but getting it in and out on every hunt is a pain. Hey, if you don't like heights you have to do what you have to do.
