Truly innovative, good stuff.

My only concern is that it might not propel the projectiles fast enough or with enough push behind it for effective penetration on larger birds. Have you had a chance to somehow chrono the shots or darts?

Now that right there brings up visions of Mr. Gadget Man. Some very cool stuff for sure. It'sgreat how some peoples mind work to come up with truly different toys for us boys and girls. Kudos Mr Designer. I guess the next step is for a true point and shoot recurve or longbow model.[8D] Great stuff.

Designer,I am impressed to say the least. You have something there that is quite marketable and I hope you become a millionaire if you aren't already. I could see a person having another bow that he or she just usesas a SHOT bow. An awesome way to further the sport of archery. Those arrows that use blades instead of fletches look quite effective. Have you taken any game with this; big game, birds, small game? Any details or stories would be cool to hear.

That is awesome!

I can see this invention going somewhere.

Designer, you need to get the word out about this. I truly hope some company picks it up and markets it for you.

I want one. What kind of price do you expect for the shot bow that attaches to a conventional bow?

If you haven't already, you need to put a link to that video in the crossbow forum.

Many animals have been taken with that short arrow but not from the crossbow version. They were all taken with a bow the same as the ShotBow with the exception of the track design. For the arrow, the track has specially designed polyetylene guige strips which seperate the arrow from the metal track. It was very political to say the least.

The ShotBow on the other handis a totally new sport for archery and I am offering a ROYALTY FREE license to only one company that has the marketing savy, capital and machining equipment to start it going.

Many deer, elk, turkey, hogs, bear, moose, antelope, etchave been taken with the short arrow.

Isn't there a limited market due to State and Federal laws concerning projectiles allowed for game animals? That might be a reason it isn't being readily accepted by the major manufacturers.

Also, how do BowTech's new Airowguns (paintball and pellet) compare/compete with your design??

State and federal laws exsist or are written with regardto current equipment. You cannot make rulings on something most people do not even know about or is not produced and marketed. Anyway, rules can be changed to accept or reject newer technology. I do not have a problem with that as long as all the truths come out or are presented and politics DO NOT infuence the vote.

As far as the shotbow is concerned, I designed it mainly for competion trap or target shooting. Hunting regs will not be a concern there. On the plus side, it is a totally new sport that will add a "Waverunner" to an industry that is mainly geared towards "Snowmobiles". In other words, thesmaller pro-shops can have sales and repair year around as opposed to fall hunting seasons which can help in reducing the numbers of shops that must close every year due to lack of business.

To compare what I have with Bowtech's paintball or pellet bow, this is better because it islighter and more versatile. My patent covers shooting paintballs as well.
Depending on the poundage of the bow, and keeping paintball speeds below 300 FPS, it is capable of shooting 3, 4, 5 or6 paintballs with every shot making it a more even competition against someone who has a paintball gun. "Cowboys against the Indians."
