That's a tough one....

I guess I've never known any different. I've always hunted SOMETHING. I've had many passions throughout my life. Baseball through college.....Golf through my PGA Apprenticeship to becoming a PGA Member.......waterfowl hnting .....inshore and offshore fishing......now deer hunting.

I've ALWAYS needed something in my life to challenge me. I've said it before.....I had more fun hunting deer this past season.....than I've ever had in all the other hunting seasons COMBINED.

And I LOVED some duck hunting.....lol....

Almost as long as I can remember hunting has been a part of my life. I can't imagine it being any other way. Now what has changed my life is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
I'm not the best hunter in the world. Even after these 56 yrs there are things I wish I were better at. But many the lesson I have learned thru all the hunting seasons . . .never give up and learn from your mistakes, and any time spent in God's creation is a good day.
I've just taken up bow hunting this year and am learning yet another avenue of the hunt.

Hunting has always been a part of my life also. As a child, it was time with my Dad that I would not get at other times. He made time for it, took vacations, allowed me to take openers off from school, as they were always on Mondays. It was Dad, letting me sip his coffee ..... man it tasted good!

As a man, there is still nothing that compare to hunting with my Dad, drinking coffee in the cold outdoors, and now since we both have a saving faith in Christ, we pray together. I like what someone else said, it helped mold my life ... Jesus Christ changed my life.

Biggest change...my faith and communication with my Lord and Savior.

Too busy, too much going on, too little time, always something, but seldom stopping to remember my Lord. Out in the woods, quiet, peaceful, tranquile, and admiring all He has given to us ALL, and I notice my time is spent praying to Him and talking to Him and asking for His grace and His peacefor me and all my friends and enemies.

Sound sappy and "hallmark style"?

Well, you asked and this is my honest answer. And I'm very glad that hunting has brought Him to me, and me to Him.

Three ex-wife's, 7 children, tons of child support and I would change a thing. I'm ready to go hunting.
