If you have it wrapped up you can leave it a year or more. The problem is most freezers suck the moisture out and the ears and nose get freezer burned easily. Call your taxidermist and ask him to take a look at it. He probably has spare capes if it is too late. How long has it been there?

I was told to wrap my buck's ears, nose, (pretty much theentire face) in towels and then bag it. That would supposedly prevent freezer burn.

Your taxi shouldn't expect the full amount up front, just a down payment. Get it in as soon as possible so you get it back sooner.

You are fine, should be in good shape. Hope your mount looks great when you get it back.
