Instead watching them go workout or read a book. Play a game with your children if you have them. Sit there and count sheep, any above you will come out ahead;) |

You guy's crack me up, One excuse after another for Ted. I don't think anyone has to be told where Chicken McNuggets, Meat, or Leather comes from or what our heritage is. I met Ted on the Pine River Fly Fishing befor he was ever a Famos Bowhunter, I shared a CBM or MBGH (so long ago I can't remember which) Booth at a Michigan Bowhunters rendezvous with him, I supported his Tv and Radio show the Bearwhen thay came out.And I'm sick of making excuses for Tedto non Hunters. Ted hunt's High Fences, that's OK he's Ted. Ted shoot's deer with mouth full of Corn, That's OK he's Ted. Ted Eat's mouth full of deer $hit on national TV, that's OK he's Ted, Ted Stick's gun in mouth of CAGED Lamb and blow's it away in front of bunch of women, THAT"S OK HE'S TED. Ted ask's 12 year old girl on radio show if shes going to come and throb at the Knob, THAT'S OK HE'S TED!!! Ted's actions influenceno one on this forum, we are hunter's. However Ted's actions only Harden the Peta Freaks agenst hunters, if there was one border line we just lost them. Last but not least, is the one's that don't Hunt, thay could care less one way or the other if we get to hunt or not. For the ones that seen that show, (not counting the one's on drug's) How many of them will start bowhunting because of it, and how many of them will sign the nextPETApetition that is put in front of them? If you think it dosn't matter, your only kidding yourself. Like I said, it ain't TED!

Ted is an advocate for killing what you eat, and doing it as humanely as possible. The girls wanted lamb. He got it for them. Lamb chops only come from one place and it's not the lamb chop tree! |

Mauser and Atlas, I agree with you guys. Those of you that are disagreeing, are soft. When I was old enough to walk, I put .22 bullets in the heads of the pigs we raised for food. I stuck a knife through the boarded fence and cut the pigs neck so he would bleed out. I helped build the fire to get the water boiling in order to get the hair off.Big deal for kids to see right. If half of these murders and other freeks in this world could only have experienced the respect of life and death they may not be what they are. The same ones of you that are upset over this are the same ones that let your children play shoot'em up games. My wife told me that she wouldn't eat deer meet b/c she had seen it processed. So I showed her how her precious hamburger was made (from start to finish). Guess what? My wife eats deer meat now (and she is getting into hunting). Of course we all have some feeling for the animal that we harvest, but the truth of the matter is that it needs to be done.

Im with David on this.To kill an enclosed animal to make a point is pretty out there! If he wanted to demonstrate the reality of how meat gets to the table do a segment from the inside of a slaughter house.I didn't see the episode,I can't believe that would advance the image of hunters or hunting in any non hunters mind,likely the reverse.I don't want to be lumped with someone who does things for shock value.
I think we will get a lot further with dignity and consideration versus in your face life is raw BS. |

If I see one more kid ride by wearing a helmet, on his way to play baseball where they don't keep score and the outfield fence is padded, or maybe on his way to school where he has no idea what dodgeball is and 3/4 of his classmates are on Rx meds........only to come home to a dinner of fast food and his Playstation parents while his real mom and dad are watching Dr Phil and Nanny 911 trying to figure out how to raise a kid......I will puke. He's tasteless and just a loud mouthed jerk. IMO Ted's little exibition had nothing to do with growing your own veggies or living off the land. We're really past having to live off the land. Shooting an animal in a box on national television isn't realistic. I suspect that most of us would even have our little kids somewhere else when we chop off a chickens head or put fido down because he's over the hill. There's realistic and then there's just being civil and considerate of others. Ted is none of those. |

You wusseys! Those of you that choose to shelter your family and friends from the reality of life are just creating and promoting futureopponents! My 2 year old son watches me hang and skin my deer. Why hide it. If people would grow up with reality they would not freak out when they saw it. Heck we would not have to show it on TV because it would not have shock value! It may have offended some and turned them into non meat eaters, but it also made many realize that they can and should learn to feed themselves. Let those fence riders that just buy there meat at wallyworld go without meatfor a few days and I bet alot of them will be back andlittle more understanding. I am just sick of the blind world we live in! Support yourself and take responsibilty for your actions. Period!!
