althought stuff like that is generally frowned upon on TV thats because Americans in general have became(for a lack of better words) SOFT. period. there arent many people left out there that could survive off the land. there arent many who can hunt and fish and grow their own veggies etc. people just lost sight of reality. the reality of it is Americans consume millions and millions of pounds of meat each and every year and alot of them dont realize where it comes from and it was once a living breathing animal that died so we could eat.

if you watch Ted's shows you know that he is trying to show the people on it the reality of life and how things are. its only frowned upon because people dont like the reality of life and dont wanna see it and the media controls Americans and what we accept and dont accept. its OK to show humans being shot and killed and blown up and mutalated in any way shape and form on TV. but when it comes to animals its not accepted to show reality, weather thats a slaughter house or a hunting show that shows blood and guts. the other part of it is the cutesie factor. people grown to think animals are cute and cuddly etc etc. like my ecology professor said...start an fundraiser for a panda bear, then start one for an endanger insect. the panda bear will win hands down because of the cutsie factor. that endangered insect is just as important to it's ecosystem as the panda bear is to it. but people rather save the cute cuddly animals.

people dont realize without hunting and fishing America wouldnt be what it is. the pioneers of this country didnt live off just fruit and veggies. they hunted and fishes. brought live stock which had to be killed.

alot of people lost sight of where we all came from. i would love to see people today live with the tools and technology of the 1800s. reality of it is thered be alot of people cold and hungry. and others relying on hunters to supply food.
mauser ...... well said...

Ted's point..............Don't be a hypocrite.

If you are gonna eat meat, wear leather, and use all kinds of animal products you should know and RESPECT what needs to be done for that to happen.

Don't hide behind the Drive Thru speaker and let someone else do all your dirty work while you stick your head in the sand and pretend meat grows on trees.

I see nothing wrong with what he did.

I spent a month in Nepal a few years ago and when we returned for dinner the locals chopped the head off a goat in full view of everyone and began preparing it for us to eat. They don't have a choice........the nearest electricity point was 9,000 feet down the mountain so the next best thing to a refridgerator is just keeping it alive until dinner time. There was no shame, no shock and no fanfair.........just dinner.

That's life.........in the real world.

Mauser06..........nailed it. This country is so soft it makes me sick. If I see one more kid ride by wearing a helmet, on his way to play baseball where they don't keep score and the outfield fence is padded, or maybe on his way to school where he has no idea what dodgeball is and 3/4 of his classmates are on Rx meds........only to come home to a dinner of fast food and his Playstation parents while his real mom and dad are watching Dr Phil and Nanny 911 trying to figure out how to raise a kid......I will puke.

Well said capt. Mauser.... well said indeed.

Mr. Nugent is just doing what Mr. Nugent does in the most visual way he knows. Explaining the truth in doing so.

A bullet to the head is way more humane than kosher products. The animals must be bled to death by slitting the jugular. How repulsive is that? It is reality, It's a religious tradition, right or wrong it is reality.

Ted's an idiot. He does nothing for me and he doesn't speak FOR me on hunting issues. He's simply and exibitionist out to promote Ted to who ever will go for it.He's tasteless and just a loud mouthed jerk. IMO Ted's little exibition had nothing to do with growing your own veggies or living off the land. We're really past having to live off the land. Shooting an animal in a box on national television isn't realistic. I suspect that most of us would even have our little kids somewhere else when we chop off a chickens head or put fido down because he's over the hill. There's realistic and then there's just being civil and considerate of others. Ted is none of those.
