RE: Ted's New Episode Madness
We have the right to observe and create an opinion, but not to judge. Ted fortunately sees everything in black and white. We are hunters and animals are prey. I wish it were that simple for me. Example given; would I shoot a deer, hell yes. A bear, definately. A zebra, uuuuh....., a hippo, probably not, an elephant, no. I see much more grey. He has seen, experienced, and done it all. He also in his wisdom, feels obligated to give back to the hunting world through education by experience. If you don't like his lessons, don't go to his class.
In his spiritual world, all animals are minions; here for whatever purpose we see deem. He deems them creatures to be respected, but they serve our needs, period. |

ORIGINAL: GMMAT Preacher.....maybe a bad choice of words on my part. I was responding to this. I like to kill deer ... it's part of the hunt. If you dont like to kill deer .... hit 'em with a paint ball gun! I didn't sayI hesitated or regretted the taking of life. I said I didn't ENJOY it. I apologize for not being clearer....... |
RE: Ted's New Episode Madness
MC Bowhunter, Funny you said that, I started to post this eariler, When I was a kid, I use to go to Fred's Museum and ask if Fred was in, (He had an office on the upper floor) If He was, I would go outside and wait (sometimes Hours) for him to come out, so I could get a story out of him. My Dad was an avid Hunter But did not Bowhunt, he would just sit in the car and wait for me. It's funny how you never think to thank someone for their little sacrifices till their gone. One time whileI was sitting there Fred came out and got me and we went up to the office (very small and humble) Talked for a while, then he took me and Dad over to the plant and showed us around, a big deal for a kid! Any time we headed up to the cabin, I would try and stop and see him. Years went by Dad died, I joined the Core, and the Bear plant moved to Florida, after I got out of the Core the only timeI got to see him was when he was up for the opener of Bow season when he would come upto hunt at Grouse Havenor at the Anderson Rendezvous, Last time Igot to talk withhim was at Andersondurring Dinner in the Motel, Fred and Ben Lee came in and got the table next to ours, I remember asking Bob Fratzke, who's Fred with, Bob say's Ben Lee, I say, I've met Ben, He weighs 350 lb, Jim Crumley started laughing and said, Yeah he had a stomach bypass. Man talk about weight loss!! After Fred and Ben got done talking about Ben Being on the Bear/Jennings Pro Staff, we all talked briefly then Fred Had to go to his room , He was on Oxygen. Fred left early the next day, and I never did get to talk much to him the last time I saw Him. Sorry, I started rambiling on. Fred would have craped his pant's if he seen some of the stunts Ted has pulled. How can two people be influencedby the same person get two Very differnt messages?

From reading these posts it is evident that some of the people posting really shouldn't be hunters. Nothing wrong with not being one; just some people are hunters and some are not.
Edit, this is not directed at Preacher Tony. I just happened to reply after him. You know who you are. |

ORIGINAL: PreacherTony ORIGINAL: atlasman Mauser06..........nailed it. This country is so soft it makes me sick. If I see one more kid ride by wearing a helmet, on his way to play baseball where they don't keep score and the outfield fence is padded, or maybe on his way to school where he has no idea what dodgeball is and 3/4 of his classmates are on Rx meds........only to come home to a dinner of fast food and his Playstation parents while his real mom and dad are watching Dr Phil and Nanny 911 trying to figure out how to raise a kid......I will puke.
