You know you make a good point, I buying a Hoyt!!!
Ross is to good for Cabela's!!
Ilike Uncle Ted, I just want him to act like an adult every once in awhile, LOL
How is your ankle? Are the pain meds working, your post seem to make sense now[8D]

I used to like Ross, but since he hangs out with Ted ,I have begun to doubt his judgement and capabilities as a bowmaker.
Has Ross been asked to speak at Cabelas, this could sway my mind?[8D]

The owner of the proshop is usually shooting a Hoyt but always has a Mathews hat on. I sent two of my buddies down there last summer and they said that the owner was great and pressured them in no way to buy a brand. They both walked out with Switchback XT's.Hisfulltime employee shoots a Ross. His part time guy shoots a Mathews. I would assume that they want to sell as many bows as they can regardless of brand. They have had many Mathews fans say that they are holding onto their Switchback XT's after shooting the Drenaline. I too prefer the Switchback XT over the Drenaline. I am just the messenger, Mathews fans;don't hate the player, just the game.

It's hard to beat the Hoyt Vectix and all of the improvements that were made from 2006. IMO it's the best new bow for 2007. And yes, I have shot the Gaurdian...

I just don't want anybody to think I don't like Hoyt bows. I do. I think they're a great bow. I just have a personal preference for something else.
I'd hunt with one in a MINUTE if they were cheaper (substantially)or I had a connection to their company. I have nothing against them.

GMATT, Why would Hoyt choose to sell their bows substantially cheaper when MANY in the industry consider it to bethe best bow on the market right now. It is cheaper than a Mathews Drenaline at most shops by $20. $700 is the going rate for the top of the line bows. Hoyt archery is considered one of the archery leaders. Hoyt and Mathews hold this position with Bowtech right behind them. Your post made no sense. It is like," If Mercedes started selling their cars at a substantially lower price, I would buy one." Mercedes isn't going to lower their price and neither is Hoyt, Mathews, and Bowtech. When you sell the best there are, why? Quality and performance isn't cheap. You get what you pay for.

Because, Don....I paid SUBSTANTIALLY LESS for my Bowtech than you did for your Best in the world bow. That's why. Does it make sense, now????
My bow shop owner knows the business I send him.....and I get an UNBELIEVABLE deal on my bows. Yes.....it's under cost. Yes.....WAY under cost. If I could buy a Vectrix for $400 I wouldn't have bought it (If I had to shoot it, I wouldn't).
See???????

$ isn't a big deal to me when I want the best bowhunting product out there. That is why I have no problem with getting expensive gray fall predator wolfskin clothing through gray wolf woolens. Simply the best camo pattern and clothing maker in the industry. I also have no problem with buying thebesthangon treestand in the industry, Lone Wolf Alpha Hangon, and the best climbing sticks in the business, Lone Wolf sticks. My arrows are A/C/C, my blinds are Double Bull. Do you see a trend here? I won't compromise owning the best product for bowhunting just to save a little money. I am a serious bowhunter. I send my dealer tons of business but I am not going to ask for favors from the guy on bowdeals. We pay him full price on our bow purchases. He has to make a living. BTW, I alsoowna Bowtech Tribute. The Vectrix is just making quite an impression on the archery world right now and this is showing at my dealers shop. If your dealer quits selling Bowtechs and all he has to offer for a deal to you below cost is a less than known bow maker that doesn't shoot well, are you going to buy it just to save $?
BTW; I am not rich, I just learned long time ago that that buy it right once and you have no regrets.

Oh where to begin....
Me neither. Hence my stance I wouldn't pay MORE for a product I find to be INFERIOR. It also takes all kinds, Don. I bought a Lone Wolf stand/climbing sticks combinationand sold it.....because I think it's a pain in the axx compared to my Summit Viper. To each his own.
Swell!
Read my signature and heed it. Don't read into my statements anything other than what I tell you. I never asked him for anything (my dealer). He approached ME with a deal he said would express his gratitude for my business. he knows how much business I send him....how much I spend in there.....AND he gets so many bows from the mfg's ech year on a "deal". He passed one of these along to me. That's all.....
I agree....and I certainly wouldn't pay MORE for a product that......well....you know......
No Don....just like you....I'm going to shoot what I think is the best product on the market.....price excluded. Just don't hate me because I saved a few bucks on mine.
Congratualtions. You're a smart man. You're also smart enough to know that just because you paid more for something.......you didn't neccessarly get a better product.

Basically it all boils down to the fact the no one really cares that you geta deal on your archery crap. I know I don't. Your opinions on bowhunting or equipment also don't interest me so your statement about," Why wouldI choose a product INFERIOR to yours," we all just shake our heads. Youhaveone yearexperience as abowhunter and an archer so your opinion is of little importance to me as far as bows and archery equipment go.What bowhunting you do participate in is in a city urban setting. Enough said.
