Last Day in Illinois
Last day in Illinois and oh yeah I went out. While I had no success I was able to achieve a feeling that I have not had in a couple of years. Finally a peace the surpast understanding. A feeling that I had a absolute success of a season. With two does down and more passed deer than I can count. For the fisrt time I felt I had some sort of read on those wonderfull creatures. I have experience and this forum to acredit that feeling too. So, I apreciate everyones passion and dedication to this wonderfull life style.

I went out but picked the wrong trail!! Two big doe came into the field about 70yds away!!
It was a good season but I'm glad it's over! I'm tired of driving the 3hr round trip just to hunt!

I wanted to get out today but I had so much work that I never made it. Oh well, Now it's time to go get all of my stands down and give them the once over (new straps, check cables, etc...) Good season but as always, hate to see it end.

Went out yesterday, went down by the creek. As soon as I goot the I dropped down the bank to pick out a spot. Not 1 minute later I heard something be hind me. I thought it was a rabbit taking off out of the dried grass. Turned to see to young does walking toward me @ 20 yrds....of course they saw me[:@]. Only if I had a few more mintutes. I only harvested one doe this year. Though I passed on3 deer that were a slam dunk, including the one that was at the bottom of my ladder. I think I had a great season and will be ready for next year.
Put hunting stuff away this morning and waxed the bow, I can actually see my truck carpet again...
