Jealousy

My only point was that the 2 guys discussing it could have been totally innocent bystanders..........(or not)...........but many people would label them "jealous"...........when in fact the truth could be totally different.
They could have been 2 thirsty bank robbers too.
Perhaps it meant more to you then you realize since you still carry that memory with you.
A lot of strange occurances stick in my memory, I don't investigate them all, down to the last detail. Just the ones that are important to me.
Is he jealous of you..............or does he just not like you?? Hard to tell from that story.
Supposedly, his son missed the deer a week or 2 before I shot it. Believe me, it was all about the deer. He was jealous that I got the deer and his son didn't.

You're exactly right. This is the snowball effect I wrote about earlier.

As far as my previous example, those are all the details I knew about. It mattered not to me because I knew it was a lie. It wasn't worth my time to dig for more details.

How about the guy at my work that kept on me for three years, telling me that one of the deer I shot, should have been his sons deer? I had a pic of the deer in the inside lid of my toolbox at work. He'd come in the shop when I was working, stare at the pic, then tell me that that deer should have been his sons? After 3 years!!! I said, dude, that deer is on my wall, all the wouldas, couldas and shoulsas ain't going to change that fact. He walked out telling me that he was going to tell an adjacent landowner that I was illegally hunting his land at night. That guy was very lucky that we were work![:@]
I call that jealousy.

I know many people that have hunting pics displayed on the walls of their office and homes and I've never once judged them to be comparing those pics to their loved ones.
The guys who started the rumor of me hunting illegally don't know me....and they're simply rumor starters (I've also heard rumors of them hunting illegally....in the SAME PLACE they're accusing me of hunting). For them to THINK they know I was doing something wrong is ridiculous. It never happened....therefore it can't be proven. It's really sad........

I don't worry about someone else being jealous. Most know me and " know "I hunt legal. I tend to keep my kills to myself and just tella few in the immediate area. I've seen that hurt other guys when jealousy rears it's ugly head. Better to be safe then sorry.Maybe I need to retract the first sentence. I guess I do if it would cost me access to land I hunt.
I've had to dodamage control a couple times with one of the guys I work with. No one is better then him in anything according to him. Helikes causing troubleuntil it comes back to bite him. Which it usually does. You think he would learn!!
We are used to his ways and most have figured him out. He does keep life interesting though!! Plus when the Boss's mom introduces us to people she always says " this isTim the hunter and XXXXX the hired hand. " . He gets red in the face and it drives him insane.
Trust me, she knows it too!! Too funny!!

Well Greg maybe your just giving yourself too much credit. He may not be jealous at all, he may just think your a douche bag, and that would lead him to act the way he does.

No respect, no respect.
JB I am guessing you are younger man. As you get older you will see there are people who do not like you. It stems from alot of different things. Jealousy & Greed are not just in deer hunting.
If some one does not like you or me, we can bet there is some jealousy there. We are not talking about Gregh. I bet you have had to deal with it in your own life. Family can be the worst
