If you look at life in general, people are discontented. They want to be the one with the beautiful wife, the smartest kids, the biggest buck, the most bucks, ... etc.

Pride is the foundation of it. We all have pride at times, but the people that will slander other people so they can try andbring them down to their level.

GregH, if I lived near you, I would try and learn from you. I do that from all you guys here. No one in here is the best anything. We can all learn from each other. It's that way in all of life, really. We can learn anything from anybody .... even if it's to learn what not to do!!

By the way, I have the prettiest wife in here!;)

I agree there are some jealous people out there. But there are some very boastful people out there as well. Some people kill one big deer and they are all the sudden Fred Bear. Some people kill there limit every year. Well there are a lot of people that can do that, but CHOOSE not to. So some people that may seem jealous are actually just sick of hearing everyone brag about themselves.

While this may be true in some instances, I believe it is a very small percentage. Most of the jealous comments I've heard are from people that I don't even know. To me, it is more likely that the story gets exaggerated each time it is told. It then snowballs out of control. Besides, even if a person would get sick of listening to someonelse brag, would that person then go and spread rumors that were untrue? I wouldn't think so, unless that person was sick and jealous.

I don't think that it is the antlers fault.

Maybe not their fault but the reason!

I think the reason stirs from within the person that has the problem. Who in their right mind would let a set of antlers cause them to resort to jealousy and accusations?
