Default My wife's exciting evening

Well after hinting around to her for a while, I finally convinced my wife to go hunting one more time before season ends. She decided to go to her favorite spot, I had seen 5 does there last week so she hoped to connect with one of those. She sat for an hour and half or so and was surprised to see a big shooter buck walk the treeline across the field from her about 90 yards away. From the way she described him , I think that he was a 140 inch 8 pointer that I had seen around Thanksgiving. The buck milled around a while and went into the woods just far enough that she couldn't see it anymore. A doe then came out into the field and offered her a shot at 20 yrds, but she couldn't pull her bow back(we were wrestling around yesterday and she is still sore), the doe got nervous and went back to where it came from. Soon after she heard the big buck FIGHTING with another one just past where she could see. They fought for 7-8 minutes! She even heard one of them get thrown to the ground. Neither one of them came back to the field though. Then right at dark the doe came back out and offered a 40 yrd shot, she managed to get drawn this time but unfortunately missed, which is not very common for her. She was still excited and is already talking about where she is going to ambush that buck next season.

Save the wrestling for off season to get in shape for next season. That's what I tell my wife anyway. LOL
