I would not take the shot purposely either!! I can say though I have killed a doe several years ago with a similar shot placement! Not on purpose though! I spotted 3 doe on the last day of the late season and stalked to 60 yards of them. I kneeled down and waited as one of them walked to 40 yards of me broadside. Her right side was facing me. When I released my arrow she completely turned and my arrow struck her in the left hind quarter! She went about 20 yards and was done!

To everybody who considers this hunter the scum of the earth, what do you think of the person who did this?

Mistakes are one thing but I personally wouldn't take a shot like that.

It has never been said if this guy purposely shot this deer in the hind quarter or if it was a mistake.

To each his own.

Obviously a very bad angle and NOPE, wouldn't take the shot. Most times if you just wait the deer will turn.

Its impossible to comment without knowing the whole story.

Sometimes stuff goes wrong.I onceshot at an 8pt and hit a small branch I didn't see. The arrow deflected and hit him in the hind quarter. Luckily, I hit the artery and he only went 100 yrds. Now if you saw the pic of the deer, you would probably all jump on me without knowing EXACTLY what happened.
