Wow, no antler size limit in Wisconsin. I guess quality is ok but then the 18 inch 210 lb 3 pointer my uncle killed would be off limits which wouldn't be right either. Sounds like a silly rule to me for the state to impose. If a land owner or hunting party wants to implement such a rule I see no problem with that because they can manage the exceptions to the rule.

i agree w/NJB and Matt. this is probably a story spun way out of control....the guy is probably one of those guys that says that nothing is ever his fault. he was probably trying to get away w/something, has a record of hunting infractions a mile long and blaming the PGC because they didn't believe his BS story. i hunted in PA for yrs and was friends w/a local game warden and you wouldn't believe some of the stories he said shady hunters/poachers come up with.

PERSONALLY, I'd LOVE it if we had a minimum rack size for bucks in Wisconsin! We'd need to shoot more does, but the herd would be better off in the long run.
Now with this CWD hysteria....that won't happen anytime soon.

I would support a minimum point rule in Texas. I am ashamed at what I have seen harvested by "day hunters" around here. These guys will pay 70 bucks to hunt all day and when things are looking slim they blast whatever moves with a 7mm mag. I've seen nubbing bucks in the back of several trucks. Can't improve our habitat that way!
