My 11 year old daughter. She has been sitting in a stand with me for the last 3 years just watching and learning. This is her first year to get to bow hunt and she took her first deer last Saturday. A perfect heart shot at 20 yards. I have been her teacher in the woods. But my dad taught her how to shoot the bow. We were lucky enough to have him out at camp with us last weekend. He was thrilled to be able to be there when she got her first deer. I have a killer on my hands!

I've been teaching my three oldest children this year. In fact that is how I've spent most of my availble hunting time. Oldest son is ten, daughters are seven and five. Youngest will no doubt be into it, but he'll have to wait a little longer. He'll be two in Feb.
And my best friend "Buddy" (my Australian Cattle Dog).

my 36yr old brother, i have hunted since i was a kid, his first time out was last turkey season. I also take my 5 yr old nephew in the woods with me from time to time and on extreme occasions my daughter (turns 2 on dec 20th)I cant wait until they are old enough to start hunting too, if that is what they want.
my brother scares me the most, he is a civil engineer so he thinks he is intelligent enough not to have to be taught firearms safety, I ride his a$$ every chance i get (a little payback, i'm younger) book smarts do not equal common sense about gun safety.
