here's an idea....if you dont like his show, then dont watch it.

personally, i like the guy. you dont have to.

the only other comment i have is for hollywoodvx. "Maybe some of you are just mad because you can't do it!!!" is the absolute WORST comeback ever.

I haven't shot my recurve in nearly ten years but I'll take that bet. Shooting a recurve at 20 yards and hitting a pop can 9/10 times is nota feat worth bragging about.

I've seen Tred's show just a couple times.

First reaction, "this guy is a friggin idiot"i watched the rest of theshow and had a totally different take. I actually enjoyed the show and his way of doing it.

99% of hunting shows are complete trash. They are 30-60 minute advertisements for whoever the sponsors are.

I like Tred because he isnt trying to sell me something. If I had cable I'd probably watch his show religously.

I don't know alot about Tred, but I have watched his show a few times. I think some people just miss the point. "There ain't no business like show business". You, I, and everyone here should know by now that the WWF is a lot of great athletes putting on a show. Hunting programs areno different. Yes we can learn something from them all I think. The point is IMO, I have never watched a hunting program or a wrestling match that showed everything that goes on behind the production of the "show". There is not time in a 30 min. hunting program to show everything it requires or that one must accomplish before being capable of harvesting an animal ethically. If we only knew how many times they really miss or get busted in order to make a show, it would shock everyone. What I guess I'm trying to say is, don't believe everything you see on TV. Hey, it's how people make a living. Not many people in this world make an honest living on TV. They have too much editing they are entitled to. If everyone wants to shoot with a stick, fine. Compound, fine. Guide, fine. No guide, you will be a more humble hunter. Bicycle, fine. Motorcycle, fine. Tote it on your back, get a back ache. Four wheeler, faster and healthier on you. Why can't we all just get along.

MOTOWNHONKEYyou don't shoot a trad bow, enough said. Until you do, you can't comment really on it. Sorry Charlie

Buster T, I was shooting trad. when you were crapping yellow, so you might just check your pie hole. I use a compound because it is a far superior killing machine. Once again, nice try.

Especially when it is 5 minutes of actual hunting and 25 minutes of commercials.

I wish they would have 30 minutes of hunting and no commercials. Then they could just sell DVD's at the end of season with 30 minutes or an hour of commercials for their sponsors. Bet that would go over like the proverbial fart in a phone booth.

Now ya all went and done it, So I'll start out with this. In 1984Ibeat a Bear to death with a club, In 1992 I stomped a Rat out of a Rattle Snakes A$$. And at one time I was going to have a leather collar made for myself, have my friends bury me under a bear bait, and stab a Bear through the lungs with my Grandpas old Marbles Bowie Knife, and have them video it, till I found out it was agenst the Law. No big deal thay usualy bite were the arrow hits and run like He!!. I was a D.I. in the Core, a Bounty hunter, been shot, cut, scalp riped off, and had my teeth knocked out. Been in over 100 fist fights in 6 countrys because Icant stand belligerent Bullys (Bad people continue to do what thay do, because good people dont teach them no better!) Tred is a sissy, dont know crap about doing things the hard way, and I want my own TV show!!! I warned you all about starting this Traditional VS Compound stuff back on page 6, and will post my views on this later.

Ihave usedtrad. equiptment and have killed deer with it. When both trad. and compound hunters practice a lot, the compound wins hands down every time. To verify this, go to the NFAA website and look at the scores of the top trad. winner vs the top BHFS winner ( sight pins and release). My question is, when it comes to killing an animal, why would anyone want to make it harder? Does trad. equiptment wound and lose more animals than compound equiptment? What is more humane? If you want hard, why not hunt with a spear?

gregH:

I KNOW.....speaking for ME.....that I miss opportunities on wall-hanger deer, every year (OK....the 2 I've been hunting....lol) because "I" choose to hunt these animals with a bow in lieu of a gun. I'm OK with that.

I also know that my odds of taking said animal would increase if I were to shoot traditional equipment. I may do so in the future. I've said that, too.

What I WON'T do.....is diminish YOUR accomplishments with your compound....because I need to feel superior by stating MY accomplishments (and almost accomplishments) with my traditional tackle. That smells.....and it don't smell good. I can secretly have my own thoughts (as I do when my friends boast of taking animals with a rifle).....but it's a fine line that has to be walked....or someone is offended.

I think people have a problem with Tred for this reason. Nothing more.
