Welcome to the board BRT. That is a great story. Congratulations to you and of course your son. I am taking my 12 year old shotgun hunting tomorrow (opening day of gun season). Like you I'm sure, I would be proud if he gets an 80# doe - if we see an animal like the one you've described I think I would say "better let Dad take this one." <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Thats great! congrats to the both of you. I, like many other fathers on this board, can't wiat for that moment. My son is only 3 1/2 and I just started him shooting this year. He has little CARTEL compound that is perfect for him. We are only about three feet from the bag target but he loves it. He already wants to back up with the big boys but I told him he is just not ready yet. Anyway, congrats to you both again.

Congrats, that's spectacular. I can't imagine who was more excited, dad or the boy.
I don't have a boy, but that's not stopping me. I have 7 and 8 year old girls that are getting their first PSE bow for Xmas this year. Can't wait to get them started.
You have some great memories now.
