Default How KE converts to the real world

Ever wonder what KE really means? I found out the expensive way. A friend and I were shooting in his warehouse tonight(an ideal environment for tuning bows after sundown)and I managed to miss the target at 30 yards. What happened was amazing...I was using 100 gr. Thunderheads and 2216 shafts along with my Hoyt shooter which is set at 71lbs. The backstop was also missed and the arrow struck the tilt slab concrete wall. The insert separated from the shaft and bounced across the floor. When we took a look up close we found the broadhead embedded into the concrete wall as to where it took pliers to remove it. The tip was sunk beyond the leading edge of the blades! So, if you ever wondered about how hard your arrow actually hit at 30 yards when you shot a deer...No wonder the pass through is common! Save your broadheads and take my word for it.

there are a LOT more factors then KE at work here! Just the ONLY factor that the bowhunting industry relys on! Its a shame.
