Bow Zone Buck!
I'm back from my Alberta hunt and I finally got a shot onFriday, my next to the last day ofthe hunt.I got a nice 8pt that was around 300lbs with a huge rut neck! I got a beautiful heart shot at 19yrds and watched him drop at about 60yrds, it was unreal. When I walked up on him I couldn't believe his body size.
It was real cold, 16-22 degreesF the first three days with about10"of snow in most areas. I saw 4 buck, all in bow range, during my 5 days in the woods, one of which was BC material. I rattled him in but couldn't get a clear shot by the time he decided to vacate the area when he didn't see the sourceof the comotion.[:@]
At any rate, it was the best hunt of my life so far and I feel lucky about that. I saw the biggest buck of my life and got my best bow kill to date. Ya gotta luv it!!
I will try to get some pics uploaded to share. I have them stored in a file but need to learn to embed them in a post. Please be patiant.
