Default NJ Buck Bagged, Shed - Zone 6 - 12/17/04 (pics)

Finally, a mountain deer (Zone 6 Rockaway River WMA)... check out his white feet. Too bad he shed his antlers... oh well... he's
considered an antlerless deer.

Nailed him with the 12 gauge (rifled slug) at 7:10 AM at 35 yards on the last day (today). One shot, one kill. He dropped like a bag of
potatoes.

No other shots. Zero orange. At least a 400 yard drag.

I am kind of glad that its a buck and not a female. I've only seen 1 or 2 does since October... at least a half dozen bucks... all but 2
were dinkers. I've hunted hard back there since opening day of fall bow. I've had zero luck until today... the deer I've seen while bow hunting were either too far away or did not have at least 3 points on one side.

Notice the division leading/home field leading Eagles hat.

Yeah... his hair is messed up. Like I said... it was at least a 400 yard drag. In the messed up hair where his neck meets his body... you can see the hole. It went in on an angle towards his back.
