You bet. My land in Jayton is on the salt fork of the Brazos. I live in knox county, next to two forks of the Brazos, actually watched a bunch of hogs crossing the River yesterday. I also hunt in Brock right on the Clear fork of the Brazos. Actually lost a doe in the Brazos there three weeks ago. The river was up, P.K. had the dam open, and I shot a doe about 20 yards from the river, she ran to the river and piled up in it. The river washed her away. I was not real happpy. We could never find her.

I use to go to Norman quite a bit. Back when I was in College (1990s), I set the O.U. Record for the Highjump in their indoor facilites. I also like to ride my harley in those parts. Either up through Ardmore or Lawton.
Very cool, does the record still stand? Or do you know? I live almost on campus (my roomie still attends). They have a big record board in the fieldhouse where the Alumni party is before every home game.

I know exactly whereyou are talking about, I may be down there this coming weekend actually. When I was up there the last weekend of August, the river looked like this... it was terrible. The 2nd picture is what it looked like in March when the sandies were running.

Here's my advice to you PA guys......

PUT $5 ASIDE SOMETIME DURING THE YEAR SO THAT YOU CAN PURCHASE A DOE TAG AND EXTEND YOUR SEASONS!

That'll be all....

Jeff
I gotta learn to keep my mouth shut. [8D] ;) And I learned my lesson. I'll get a doe tag next year, I promise. :D
Rob,

I believe I read in one of your posts that you didn't want to take a doe off the property this year and thats why you didn't get a tag. Next year get a tag for 3B and you have an open invitation to come up to my place and take one. We really really need to trim down the doe population and I honestly could use some help because between the 3 of us we can't pull enough tags to trim the population where we want it. We have 3 tags between Dan, myself, and my Dad this year and honestly I don't think it's enough. We have 7 different family groups of does that frequent the property that I know of and out of those 7 groups, there are about 13 does that are 1.5 years or older. This is only a 120 acre patch. We are only about an hour from you and I could put you up in in a pretty nice place as well.
Matt, somehow I missed that reply in all the other, uh, jiberish..lol

Anyway, My area is also 3B so consider it done next year.

We've got a long bow season in MI - about 3 months. We do have to share with the rifle hunters for the 2nd two weeks in November. At least we can still hunt (if you want to risk your life in the woods during rifle season! LOL.)

Don I agree I don't know if he's ready, But we're gonna need a designated driver. Maybe he could be on "Probation" for a while. And then when he survives "Initiation" we'll let him go.He does shoot a Bowtech so he can't be all that bad? Can He?

We can use a bow during our Rifle Season, but trust me it's a scarry place to be out on Public ground in PA during Rifle season with a bow in your hand. Private land is the only place I would even attempt to do it. We are not kidding when we talk about the Orange Army. I've been on some public land during rifle season here in PA and it really feels like there is a hunter behind every tree.

Ah you young Pups, all full of P**s and vinegar. All it takes is one flip on the nose or a squirt of water from a spray bottle and you turn tail and run. There is one good thing you young pups are good for. PACK MULES on Elk Hunts and Dragging out Whitetails.Maybe you should change your handle to MO_Packmule.

Really feel for everybody on short season, here in Louisiana we probably have the longest bow season, starts Oct. 1 and runs to Jan.31 and then continues on in Area 6 to Feb.15.
