Default Already going through withdrawl!

Please help me. I am already going through Bowhunting withdrawl and our season in PA only ended on saturday. I'm pacing around the house like a lost puppy dog. All of you guys who have states that actually let you hunt the rut consider yourselves very lucky. PA stinks like that! They throw all of these gun seasons in our bow season and then they don't let us hunt the rut.[:@][:'(]I'm already thinking of ways to tinker with my setups like adding more weight to my arrows for my recurve next year to get more KE. yeah here in PA we have a late archery season that runs from Dec 25th to mid Jan but we all know what kind of challenge it is to hunt that time of year.Yeah we have our 2 week rifle season coming up in 2 weeks but it is just not the same having to fight the orange army here in pa. Just needed to vent a little guys. Thanks

That would suck. Here in IA, we get to bowhunt from Oct 1 to Dec 1 with only a 7 day muzzleloader season in mid oct. No guns allowed during the rut; that's why our deer get big. Then shotgun season opens for the 1st 3 weeks in Dec. and closesand then us bowhunters and muzzleloaders get to hunt until Jan 10th. Now that is a bow season.

I'm going through withdrawls as well, fortunately for me, our late season opens on the 20th.

From the sounds of it, I'll be hunting the peak of the rut this year.

A couple bucks were taken off the property a few miles from ours last weekend (modern firearm). Their necks weren't swollen and their tarsals weren't that dark. We've just recently started noticing fresh rubs and scrapes.

I can't wait.

Yeah in PA us bowhunters have the first 2 weeks of the season to ourselves which opens the first saturday of OCT. Then we have a 2 week doe onlymuzzleloader season that overlaps along with small game and then the last 3days of the muzzleloader season they have a doe only youth, serviceman, and senior citizen rifle season. Then we have about 5 days that it is just us and small game hunters. Then we have our fall turkey season that runs equally to the end of archery season. Trust me it really stinks. Oh the game commission was really generous this year giving us bowhunters a 2 day archery only bear season. That opens next week I think. Oh did I mention they made those 2 days in the middle of the week.[:'(][:@] So i'm sure there will be lots of guys who will be able to get out. Yeah Right.[:'(]

Everything is bigger in TX. Season is, Archery 9/30-10/29, General,( guns ,bows MLs), 11/04-1/07/07. With generous bag limits to boot. And when it all comes to an end and the season is closed I can go kill hogs with a bow or whatever I choose. There is no closed season on hogs. Sorry, I almost feel like I'm gloating. Withdrawal is not a problem here.

mobowhntr I would love to take you up on that. Vacation days are already running a bit thin. 3 weeks a year is deffinitly not enough. This work stuff is getting in the way of my hunting. What part of MO do you live? My sister-in-law lives near Bentonville Arkansas (Wal-Mart Country) in the northwest corner or Arkansas. It's not too far away from MO.

Gotta love that 4 months of bowhunting right mobow! But anyway it is always a bummer when the season closes no matter what state you live in and how long the season lasts.
