Default Midwest/Wisconsin Question

Hey all,

I have a chance to get out all day tomorrow (can't wait!). The temps will be dropping, highs in the 30's with snow flurries.

I just am looking for your opinons...

Do you think the deer are still rutting hard? I will be hunting in NW Wisconsin, going no matter what. I HOPE that the action is hot!

Let me re-phrase that!

Are they still chasing and seeking hard (I had Gr8 action last weekend), or do you think they are locking up on does already....

It shouldn't be much different for you than it is here in Nebraska, but I saw a herd last night of 15 or so and the bucks are still running the does quite hard. I can't wait for Saturday!!!

I hunt in marinette county and while some of the smaller bucks have been chasing does I have seen plenty of bucks just running scrapes. I think the weather might get them going a little harder. I have hunted for the last 8 days all day every day and this is whatI have seen. I will be out there for the next 5 days.

I hunt in Ashland County and there in full rut right now. It should last another week or so. hopefully the first couple days of gun season atleast.

My dad has been up since last Sat. he shot a monster Sun. came into the Primos can and my uncle shot a 7point last night. Most of the activity they have been seeing is bucks. Im leaving in the am tomorrow cant wait. Holloween weekend I rateled in a 115-120+ 8 pointer that my brother got in Adams county. My dad and uncles are about 20miles southeast of Black River Falls. Good luck to all this weekend in the Wisconsin. want to hear the stories Monday.
