Be Carefull..Talk About DUMB!
Yesterday I was out making shooting lanes for bow. I climbed a tree to trim the branches. I was to last branch...The Gerber Hand Saw went through the branch like butter then BAM!! into the left middle finger it cut.
So I hang in tree with one arm looking at it moving finger watching the tendons move and looking at the bone. Then it bleed so bad it looks like a double lung shot deer. I took off sock and cut a peice off and put it on there with duct tape and a twig so finger wouldnt bend.
The white you see. Is Bone.
So I Went To Hospital and got 10 stupid stiches.
No Bowhunting for 2 weeks. I can gun hunt tho in 3 weeks!
Talk about stupidity! Props to Gerber on the sharp saw tho! I do like it, for shooting lane purposes...not finger removal.
Be Carefull with thos saws!

That sux! A buddy of mine was out clearing shooting lanes about 2 weeks before season, a couple of years ago and on the way back to the truck was climbing down an embankment when he slipped and fell. The machete he was holding cutthe tendon inhis thumb. He was left with a cast after surgery and couldn't really hold his gun. He went ahead and went out hunting with his friendsand just sat in the truck to watch on the far end of the field. He ended up getting out of the truck propinghis gun on thetruck bed railand took the deer of his life @ 50 yds.

Last monday while attempting to bungee my quiver onto the tree I forgot that I had made the switch from mechanicals this year and stuffed my left hand int the business end of an arrow. I stopped the bleeding with the only cotton I was wearing at the time....my boxer shorts!!!!! Slipped on my snug fitting under armour glove and shot a six pointer a few hours later. By the time I was out of the woods I didnt even bother going for stitches...only would have taken 2-3 anyway. I took a pic with my cell phone so my hunting buddies would get a laugh in their stands.

turkeyhunter....that SUX....gerber makes some good saws huh? Move those fingers often... so youll be back at it it a quicker time...stitches can be out in 8-10 daze..Doesnt look that bad..stop crying..it slows the healing process
