I can't think of a better cover scent than the natural scent of a deer that lived in the same woods you'll be hunting! I would wear them the way they are, and I would try to sound like a dominant buck on the move, could make for a really cool experience, or you could just spend the day wondering what it would have been like had you not washed them...

I would wash it. I would rather have 'no scent' than the 'wrong scent'.
I agree, but I wash the clothes after each hunt anyway.
If you're inclined to use the scent to your advantage, I hope the deer are rutting well, because you could scare off a lesser buck or a doe that is not ready.

I would leave the funk!! I have smelled some small buck that smell worse that some big bucks. I'd be surprised if a buck can tell size by smell. Might just think another buck has invaded. I wash mine after they get bloody, but this might be ok. If you rattle, this might help. Just go with your gut feeling!!! Good luck!!

I'd wash it..better to not let them know you are around.

Next time remove them before you field dress. I take mine off and pack them up to keep them clean. Washing them 20 times is supposed to be their life span. You can put them in the dryer forever.I haven't washed mine since last year.
