Default how many times has this happened to you

yesterday while getting for for a muzzleloader hunt i went to retrieve some gloves from my bow case i got a scare. i closed the case and was putting it back in the storgae closet and all at once my bow case went to thumping and kicking and thrashing about. when all things settle down and after recieving an unprepared for scare and changing pants i opened the case to find my cable had broke and the bow came alive. i had recently had the string replaced and chaecked it first but the cable was what broke.luckily i was not on a hunt or had drawn it back to shoot or it may have been worse. has anyone ever had a cable to break and any ideas as to why. it appeared to be in good shape, the bow is only three years old.thanks for any help. everyone hunt safe, shoot straight and strive to be a better hunter and take your kids and grandkids to the outdoors.

did you have any arrows with broadheads on them in the case ? If so one could have come loose in the fall and cut the string
