Default Scapes and Rubs

Hey all I was wondering I am hunting an area that has a decent amount of deer, actually I have seen 18 doe's and one small 4pt all year. I am finding a lot of ground scrapes every where but No tree rubs?? don't they usually go hand in hand? or is that just a result of the fact the only buck I have seen is a small one. I have covered this area very well and I have only found 3 really Old tree rubs that were probrably from last year or this past summer when rubbing off there velvet. this is only my 3rd year hunting so any and all info would be greatly appriciated Thank You for all replies.

rubs and scrapes CAN go hand in hand...but sometimes they dont..and sometimes you overlook the rubs. i know sometimes ill walk right by them and not notice them from one angle. sounds like your in a good spot though. but then again you could be seeing the same couple does over and over..but if theres does and a 4pt there probably more bucks. some guys swear by hunting scrapes...others dont hunt them. but your in an area with deer. this time of year with the rut thats the best place to be. this time of year bucks will roam..honestly reports of MILES in search of does. so any place holding deer could be THE place to be. alot goes into finding GREAT spots and trophy bucks. theres books and books on the subject and none cover the topic. its hard to help without being in your set of woods and being there with you. but you found deer. maybe fine tune your spot and hope for the best for this season since the rut is about to fire up here real quick. never know when or where hes gunna come from..all about being in the right spot at the right time this time of year
