Default Buck Growl Proof!!!!!!!!!

Well folks I did it. I have very good evidence that the buck growl works.Last night I hunted a stand that I had moved last weekend. I hunted this stand a total of 3 times since I moved it along the river. At around 4:30pm lastnight I decided I d try the growl sinceI knew the bucks were in rut. I growled 2 times and no more than 30 seconds later I heard something comming in from behind about 100 yards or so. It was nice and calm so the sound really carried. I looked around behind me and see two great bucks running in at full bore. One came right in behind me and came down trough a fresh water spring behind my stand and then makes a slight turn to the right of mystand. The other buck, a huge buck, not sure how many points 12-14 points easy stuck back in the brush about 35 yards behind my stand while the 8 came right to me. I postitoned my self for a nice quarterign away shot, bleeted he stopped I let it go. TING! CRAP hit a twig!!!! But hit the buck. His hind legs came up off the ground like a mule kicking a dog. I hit somethign vital but wasnt sure of the shot. I watched as he ran up the hill and heard him go down and thrash. I couldnt see him though. I got on the phone right away and called the wife who was at the farm. She let her dad knwo I got one and told him to come down the "Outhouse Road". I told her to let him know to take his time because I wasnt sure of the shot but knew he was down adn I was going to wait about 30 minutes before getting down. 30 minutes passed and i proceeded to begin looking for the deer. I couldnt find any blood so I went the same way he went. As I come up out of the spring bottom and walked in the direction I heard him go down, I see him laying beside a rtree. I held back again since I didnt know exactly where I had hit him, I thought i hit him too far back and ended up with a gut shot. I called the wife again and let her know I had him in sight ann to let her dad know to come down but I wasnt going to approach him for abotu 10 morre minutes even though his head was on the ground. 10 minutes later I decided to go wide and high and come around behind as he was facing me whenI initially spotted him. I knocked another arrow just incase. As i got with in 15 yards I knew this brute was down but didnt know how many points he was nor how big his body was untill I got up to im and poked him with my arrow. I dropped to my knees. I have never dropped to my knees over a eer and thanked the lord the way I did lastnight. I was truely blessed. I counted the points 8 points very nice rack and the biggest boddied deer I have ever shot in my life and the biggest boddied deer taken off our farm in many many many years. I slit the ear and tagged him knowing I cant finacially afford a shoulder mount right now. But will mount this antlers with pride. My father inlaw arrived as I began dressing him out. Got that bloddy mess done. Upon inspection of the shot, I was well above the guts and with the amount of pink foamy blood I knew I hit one lung. no exit hole, busted arrow, cant find broadhead side. I was carefull while cleaning him and still didnt find the other 1/3 of my arrow. We figure its inside the lung I hit. We trieed ourselves to lift the brute in the back of the Gator, it just wasnt goign to happen with two of us so I got on the phone again to see if they coudl get ahold of my wifes cousin josh, he just left for town. Crap, so My wife, son, and mother inlaw came down. It took the 4 of us all we could do to lift this buck up 3 feet. We figured He will go at least 240 - 260lb, well find ot today when we weigh him. It was like trying to lift a half a beef. We got him to the farm and into the shed and hung and was more suprized on how big he really was hanging next to the big doe I shot last week. I will be postining pics tonight hopefully and cutting up deer this weekend. I had though about waiting for the bigger racked buck to come down but would have been called a fool for not taking this deer, you cant eat the antlers anyway. chalk another one up for team 4,I think thats my team.
